Our Cycling Group
Meet at the Main Gate.
Is it a bike group which meets for coffee or a coffee group which enjoys cycling?
The idea of such a group was begun after an email from John Green was sent to residents. Now, every Tuesday and Thursday morning (as long as it's not actually raining), up to 11 people gather at the front gate, choose a destination for coffee and conversation and head off.
There are plenty of options for the group, which heads north, south, east & west from GemLife, discovering the joys of our beautiful surroundings & experiencing the various coffee shops in our vicinity. They leave at 7 (half an hour later towards winter) and are back about 9am.
There's a mixture of manually driven bicycles & electric bikes, which are growing in popularity. Fortunately, there’s quite a care factor among the members so that newcomers are guided and, where necessary, waited for!
