Our Ukulele Group
Basically we are a bunch of people who enjoy music!.
The group started about 2 years ago because there was an interest for some to learn to play. We meet at the Library room every Tuesday from 9.30 till 11am and do about half an hour of revision (chords, strumming etc) then we are joined by 2 singers, and that’s when the fun starts. We have a large selection of songs and generally, play and sing for about an hour.
New members are always welcome in which case Irene likes to do a few Beginners one on one lessons with them before they are "thrown in the deep end" with the more experienced players! We would also welcome anyone who just enjoys singing – the ukelele is only the accompaniment, we need singers to keep us on track!
